Construction, Inc.: Three Generations of Excellence
When
Hubert Folsom and his partner founded Harris-Folsom
Construction, Inc. in 1972, a corporate cornerstone
was laid: respect. They pledged to hold every
client’s expectations in high regard and to earn the
trust of their clients, the industry, and the
community by honoring principles of quality
workmanship, personalized service and honest
business practices. Three years later, Hubert Folsom
acquired total ownership and the company assumed its
current name. Now, a third generation is part of the
family management team at Folsom Construction.
Our goal
is to be viewed in our customers’ eyes as skilled,
fair minded and dedicated to quality. We’ve learned
that a good reputation, supported by testimonials
and referrals from existing clients, is a great
marketing tool, but it can only get us so far when
we compete against equally skilled, fair minded,
qualified contractors. We’ve found that this image
must be supported by our actions.
All
Folsom employees are encouraged to imagine
themselves as the client and how they would like to
be treated. Among the items we want them to note
are:
|
• |
Clients are the most important people in our
business. |
|
• |
Clients are not dependent on us. We are dependent
on them. |
|
• |
Clients are not an interruption of our work, they
are the purpose of it. |
|
• |
Clients are not outsiders to our business. They
are the most important part of it. |
|
• |
Clients are people who bring us their needs. It is
our job to satisfy them, and to do so profitably for them and for ourselves. |
At
Folsom, we work hard every day to make sure, through
our attitude and work ethic, that we project a
positive image that attracts potential clients and
retains our existing clients. |
